Back to School Superhero Goodie Bags

My husband is a third grade teacher and absolutely loves it. He really enjoys helping kids learn, and works hard to make sure that they all have fun at the same time. The classroom is decorated in a superhero theme, so naturally he would incorporate that into the Meet the Teacher Night to introduce himself to the new students before school starts!

Along with all the paperwork and getting to choose their desks, the students are also going to receive these SUPER fun Back to School Superhero Goodie Bags! They are filled with lots of fun items that are sure to make a great start to the school year.

No matter what "theme" you're going for, you can find a ton of fun items to add to goodie bags at Oriental Trading. We chose a few school supplies like Superhero Erasers and Superhero Pencils with Capes, as well as some Superhero Saying Rubber Bracelets and Superhero Stickers that they can wear and use to decorate their school supplies.

I also designed some "Super" gift tags to add to the bags. All you need to do to use them is print them out on white cardstock, cut them out (or use a 3" paper punch), and then use a smaller hole punch to attach them to the bag!

Each goodie bag gets a pencil, two stickers, a bracelet and an eraser. We also added a bookmark and a small treat to each one as a few more surprises.

You could also put these together for birthday party favors, school spirit week, and more! My husband is so excited to give these out to the new students, and I think they are going to be a hit at back to school night!

My daughter has been obsessed with watching cooking shows and wanting to learn to cook for herself. She has also been on a superhero kick lately. So, I decided to combine the two and create a superhero apron to give to her for her birthday next month. I couldn't decide on one superhero, so I took the apron-making a step further and made it reversible so she can pretend to be Wonder Woman or Batgirl!!

My daughter really looks forward to our girl's nights together, and often plans the evening out with some kind of theme. In anticipation of MARVEL'S The Avengers: Age of Ultron coming to theaters on May 1st, we decided to have an Avengers-themed girl's night! My daughter's favorite Avengers character is The Hulk. I'm not quite sure if it's because he's green and towers over his fellow superheroes, or if it's just because he likes to smash everything to bits. Either way, I must agree that he is pretty awesome. Free Printable Avengers Bingo

In anticipation of the new MARVEL's The Avengers: Age of Ultron movie coming to theaters on May 1st, I decided to create a free printable Avengers bingo game for you to play!! My daughter loves The Avengers, and has been having so much fun playing this bingo and seeing all her favorite superheroes!!

The Avengers bingo includes the entire Avengers team, Loki, and a few new characters and villains from MARVEL's The Avengers: Age of Ultron!! For the markers, we decided to use The Avengers Cheez-It baked snack crackers for more Avengers fun (and a tasty snack after)!

In case you have more than 8 people playing, or just want to let the kids make their own cards, I've created a blank bingo card set. All you need to do is cut out the 24 bingo images and glue them in place with a glue stick.
