Free Printable Disney Princess Bookmarks

My daughter has always loved Disney Princesses, old and new. Ever since we made our Harry Potter Bookmarks, she has been begging me to make some Disney Princess versions. How could I say no? They were a lot of fun to make, and I hope that you will love them, too. We have the entire set printed out for my daughter as well as for my husband's students. Bookmarks are a fun reward and also a great way to encourage reading!

Download and print the bookmarks on cardstock. Use a paper trimmer or scissors to cut out the bookmarks. Laminate the bookmarks to help them last longer.

My daughter always loves helping me throughout the design process of creating bookmarks. She likes helping to make sure they turn out right and seeing her favorite characters come to life. There are 16 characters included in this Ultimate Disney Princess Bookmark set: Aurora/Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Meg/Megara (Hercules), Merida, Moana, Anna, Elsa, Elena (of Avalor), and Pocahontas!

Place the HeatnBond glue-side down on the fabric marked on the pattern. Grab your iron and press it down for a few seconds. This will heat up the glue on the HeatnBond and adhere the pattern pieces to the fabric. Let the fabric cool completely.
Tip: Be sure that when you use a fabric where direction matters (like stripes), mark the pattern pieces which direction the pattern needs to be placed!

To give the appearance of stitches without doing all the work, I used some black Tulip Slick Dimensional Fabric Paint! Start on one side of the dress and add random dashes and x's along all of the "seams". Carefully hang it up to dry somewhere it won't be disturbed for at least 4 hours. Then lay the dress down and add stitches to the other side of the dress. Let it dry completely.

Free Printable Little Mermaid Coloring Word Search

As a kid, I remember going with my family to see Disney’s The Little Mermaid in theaters. I fell in love with the movie immediately and drew characters from the movie all the time. When it was finally released on VHS (the OLD days), I was ecstatic when we purchased it to watch every day! I eventually memorized the entire movie, and it is still one of my favorites today. When I heard about the new LEGO Disney The Little Mermaid set, I knew I had to have it! This LEGO Disney Ariel and the Magical Spell set is easy to build and perfect for fans of Disney’s The Little Mermaid to reenact their favorite scenes or create new stories of their own.

Ursula’s grotto reminds me a lot of her grotto in the movie, including potion bottles, lipstick (of course) and a buildable crystal globe to contain Ariel’s voice! You'll also see Ursula wearing the magical necklace that will eventually break the spell.

Copycat Disneyland Churro Funnel Cake

Disneyland Churro Funnel Cake
Makes 6-8 cakes
Ingredients:
1 large egg
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons melted butter
1 quart vegetable oil, as needed
8 oz. whipped cream (store bought or homemade)
caramel sauce
Directions:
- Fill a pastry bag with whipped cream, using a starred tip (I used #32).
- Move in a circular motion to create Mickey Mouse heads out of whipped cream. Place in the freezer to set while you make the funnel cakes.
- Pour oil into saucepan so it's 1-2 inches high. Heat on medium heat until it's about 350ยบ.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg and then add the milk and vanilla. Whisk again until well combined. In a separate bowl, stir the flour, sugar, baking soda and salt together.
- Slowly whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Mix until there are no lumps.
- Stir in the melted butter.
- Transfer the batter to a squeeze bottle.
- To test that the oil has reached the correct temperature, squeeze a couple drops of batter into the oil. If they immediately bubble and float to the top, the oil is ready.
- Squeeze batter in a circular motion (about a 1/2 cup of batter).
- Cook until edges appear golden brown. Use tongs to carefully flip and cook for about a minute on the other side.
- Gently remove cake to drain on paper towels, then immediately sprinkle about a teaspoon of the cinnamon & sugar mixture on each side.
- Serve warm with a drizzle of caramel sauce. Top with the frozen Mickey Mouse-shaped whipped cream.

With all the deliciously sweet toppings, this dessert can get kind of rich. So, invite some friends to share with you, or make the funnel cakes a little smaller than the ones served in Disneyland.
