Easy Butterfinger Fudge Recipe at artsyfartsymama.com #NestleHoliday

With the holiday season finally upon us, it's hard not to become overwhelmed when checking your to-do list. Although Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, I do feel a twinge of guilt when dinners become more of an afterthought and we end up settling for cereal. So if you're looking for some quick dinner inspiration for your family or to share with holiday guests, this is the post for you! I'm excited to share with you a creative way to use a Stouffer's Lasagna and NESTLÉ® baking products to put together a delicious meal while still giving you that precious time to share with family and friends.

Easy Butterfinger Fudge Recipe at artsyfartsymama.com #NestleHoliday

Let's start with dessert first, shall we? This Butterfinger Fudge really couldn't be easier to make and is sure to be a hit this holiday. It's rich, sweet, and certainly something you'll need to share. This comes together quickly, and can be frozen if you need to put some away for later.

Easy Butterfinger Fudge
Recipe adapted from Very Best Baking

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cup CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
2 Tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 - 1 cup BUTTERFINGER® Bits

Easy Butterfinger Fudge Recipe at artsyfartsymama.com #NestleHoliday

The Nestlé CARNATION® Evaporated Milk was only $1 per can, which is a great deal since one 12 ounce can will make a little more than two batches of fudge! The BUTTERFINGER® Bits are new to me, and they are delightfully easy to use. If you or someone in your family is a Butterfinger fan, I highly recommend stocking up on them to bake in almost everything!

Directions:
  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with foil and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  2. Combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil (while still stirring constantly) for 4 to 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and add in vanilla, chocolate chips, and BUTTERFINGER® Bits. Stir until mixture is combined and smooth.
  4. Pour mixture into lined baking pan. Work quickly as the fudge will thicken as it cools. Sprinkle the top of the fudge with more BUTTERFINGER® Bits.
  5. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. Lift fudge from pan, remove foil and cut into 36-48 pieces.

Easy Butterfinger Fudge Recipe at artsyfartsymama.com #NestleHoliday

If you want to make your fudge a little more festive, you can also pour the fudge mixture into silicone baking molds! I found a mold with some small pumpkins in different sizes that will be fun to share on Thanksgiving.

Follow the fudge recipe directions 1-3, then simply pour or spoon the fudge mixture into an ungreased silicone baking mold. While the fudge is still warm, gently tap the fudge with your fingertip to smooth it out and to help the fudge press into the mold. Place in the refrigerator for 2 hours or until firm. Pop out of the molds while cold and voila!

Now, for dinner!! Layered with rich meat sauce and mozzarella, Stouffer's Lasagna brings the the taste of homemade without the hassle of preparing it yourself. I don't know about you, but when we're getting ready for our Thanksgiving dinner, the last thing I want to do is cook something else. If you have guests coming before the holidays, throw a salad together and pair it with a Stouffer's Family Size Lasagna for a convenient and filling meal that everyone will love. There are different varieties of lasagnas to choose from, so there is something for everyone.

You can find the Stouffer's lasagnas in the frozen entree section in your local Walmart. The NESTLÉ® baking products like chocolate chips, BUTTERFINGER® Bits and CARNATION® Evaporated Milk can be found in the baking aisle and/or specialty displays.

Be sure to check out more delicious recipes on the Flavorful Moments Pinterest board. I'd love to hear about how you feed your family during the busy holiday season.

Candy Corn Sugar Cookies Recipe at artsyfartsymama.com

Once fall starts, we see candy corn everywhere. I'm not a fan of the candy myself, but I love to create with it and love those orange, yellow and white stripes!! These candy corn cookies are a sweet treat to enjoy this fall and are so easy to make. Plus, there is no candy corn at all in the recipe, so that alone guarantees that they'll be delicious!

Candy Corn Sugar Cookies Recipe at artsyfartsymama.com

Candy Corn Sugar Cookies
Makes about 12 dozen cookies
Recipe adapted from Land O'Lakes

Ingredients:
2 cups butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:
  1. Line a 9x5 inch loaf pan with parchment or wax paper.
  2. Mix up your cookie dough and divide into three equal pieces.
  3. Press one piece of cookie dough evenly into the pan with your fingers, then smooth the top with some parchment paper. Place the pan into the fridge.
  4. Use a small amount of gel food coloring and a hand mixer to color the other two dough pieces yellow and orange. Wrap the yellow dough in some plastic wrap and place in the fridge.
  5. Press the orange dough on top of the white/plain dough in the pan.
*If the orange dough seems soft, you can place the pan in the fridge for 5-10 minutes.
  6. Press the yellow dough on top of the orange dough and cover the pan with plastic wrap.
  7. Refrigerate the dough 1-2 hours or overnight.
  8. Remove the dough from the pan and peel the paper off. Lay the dough on some plastic wrap or parchment paper.
  9. Cut a 1/4 - 1/2 inch slice of dough off the end of the dough brick with a butcher knife.
  10. Cut four diagonal cuts on the slice of dough to make five candy corn cookies (see image above).
  11. OPTIONAL: Dip the cookies into a bowl of sugar before baking.
  12. Place cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet. (I was able to fit about 25 cookies on one cookie sheet). For best results, make sure dough is chilled before baking.
  13. Bake 350º for 7-10 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE.
  14. Let cool and enjoy!

For a little extra fun, you can use some black piping gel to add some cute faces to your cookies!! My daughter loved getting to help throughout the entire process of making these cookies and especially loved putting faces on them!

Thanksgiving Turkey Treat Bags with Free Printable Template at artsyfartsymama.com
My daughter and I enjoy making holiday crafts together. This year, we have decided to create some fun Thanksgiving Turkey Treat Bags for our Thanksgiving dinner and to give to her school teachers. These turkeys are so fun to make, and I'm sure you'll love them, too! To make things easier, I've also created a free printable template for you to use so you can enjoy making some for your family and friends as well!

Thanksgiving Turkey Treat Bags with Free Printable Template at artsyfartsymama.com

Print out the turkey body template on brown cardstock. Cut it out, then use a scoring tool or bone folder to crease the horizontal lines on the pattern so you can easily fold the body to assemble the turkey.

Thanksgiving Turkey Treat Bags with Free Printable Template at artsyfartsymama.com

Print out the second page of the template on white cardstock. Cut out one feather, one foot, beak, wattle, and both sets of eyes. Use the feather foot, beak, and wattle as templates and trace them onto cardstock in the colors of your choice. You will use the eyes as-is, so you can glue the pupils on the white circles.

Thanksgiving Turkey Treat Bags with Free Printable Template at artsyfartsymama.com

Speaking of glue, I would recommend using any of these kinds of Elmer's glues. For kids, the Gel School Glue Sticks work wonderfully since it's washable and dries clear. The X-TREME School Glue Stick is also washable and dries clear, but is formulated for bigger, tougher projects and is sure to give your turkey a stronger hold. The CraftBond® Permanent Tape Runner and CraftBond® Glue Spots are convenient and easy to use as a quick way to put your turkeys together.

Thanksgiving Turkey Treat Bags with Free Printable Template at artsyfartsymama.com

Fold your turkey body template. On the back, glue one feather in the center. Make sure you place it so you can see about half or more of the feather from the front. Glue the remaining feathers next to that center feather.

On the bottom of the body, glue both feet down at the heels and place them so you can see the turkey's toes when the bag is standing up.

Thanksgiving Turkey Treat Bags with Free Printable Template at artsyfartsymama.com

Turn the turkey's body over, and glue the eyes, beak, and wattle on the front flap. The wattle can go over the beak or under the flap - the choice is up to you!

Thanksgiving Turkey Treat Bags with Free Printable Template at artsyfartsymama.com

Next, I cut an autumn cellophane bag in half and filled it with treats. Tape it closed with some washi tape. Place the bag inside the turkey standing up. Fold the front of the turkey up next to the bag. Cut another piece of washi tape and tape the bag to the turkey by going from the back of the bag to the front of the paper. You could also staple the treat bag if you don't have tape.

Thanksgiving Turkey Treat Bags with Free Printable Template at artsyfartsymama.com

Pull the face of the turkey up over the front of the turkey body to cover the tape (or staple). Glue the face in place and hold until it has set. Now your turkey treat bag is complete!!

Thanksgiving Turkey Treat Bags with Free Printable Template at artsyfartsymama.com

This is also a fun project for kids from start to finish! Print out the template on white cardstock instead of using colored cardstock. Let them color away with crayons*, markers or colored pencils. Then cut out the pieces, score the body along the lines and glue the pieces on with the Elmer's glue of your choice. Place a bag of candy in the center and your kids can place their custom turkeys on the Thanksgiving table or give them to their school teachers as a sweet gift before Thanksgiving break!

*Keep in mind that turkeys colored in crayon will need more glue or a stronger glue than turkeys colored in colored pencil or marker due to the waxy finish.

Thanksgiving Turkey Treat Bags with Free Printable Template at artsyfartsymama.com

You can also turn this sweet turkey treat bag into a customized place setting at your Thanksgiving table! Cut a strip of cardstock and pen in your guests names with a metallic gold (or any color you like) Painters® Paint Markers.

If stunning penmanship isn't your forte, here's a secret tip: print out all of your guests names in a font you love, and simply trace over the print with your paint marker!

Thanksgiving Turkey Treat Bags with Free Printable Template at artsyfartsymama.com

Glue the name strips down on the fronts of your turkeys. Now your Thanksgiving table has a special place setting for each guest including a sweet treat for them to enjoy after dinner!

Thanksgiving Favor Boxes

We are having a small Thanksgiving this year, so I wanted to make some favor boxes for everyone. Sounds simple enough, but with a little help from Silhouette, I think they turned out extraordinary! They also took less than 20 minutes to make, which really helps when there's so much to do around the holidays.

DIY Thanksgiving Favor Boxes at artsyfartsymama.com #Thanksgiving #favor #Silhouette

First, I opened Silhouette Studio and arranged two Pillow Box templates on an 8.5x11 inch paper (box measures 3.5" wide when folded) and cut the boxes out of white cardstock on the Cameo. Fold along the perforated lines and glue the edge with a glue stick.

Next, I typed up "Gobble Gobble" and arranged it to cut in one piece by playing with the line and character spacing. I cut the Gobble design on the Cameo out of Gold Premium Adhesive Vinyl.

DIY Thanksgiving Favor Boxes at artsyfartsymama.com #Thanksgiving #favor #Silhouette

Attach the Gobble to the pillow box on the left half of the box. Then, wrap some gold glitter tape all the way around the right half of the box. Add some candy or other favors to the box and close the edges (they shouldn't need tape, but you can add some if you want).

Place on your Thanksgiving table and enjoy!

If you're feeling lucky, you can enter to WIN a SILHOUETTE CAMEO!

**THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED**

Free Printable Thanksgiving Bingo

Playing Bingo at holiday parties has become a fun tradition for our family, and I had a lot of fun putting this Thanksgiving Bingo set together. With the game being mainly images, it's easy for kids of all ages to play. This would be a fun way to pass the time while the family is waiting for Thanksgiving dinner to be ready!

Free Printable Thanksgiving Bingo at artsyfartsymama.com #Thanksgiving #freeprintable #printable #bingo

Just like my Halloween Bingo, I'm sure this version will be a hit to play at a school Thanksgiving party. Since my daughter isn't in school, we've been having a wonderful time playing as a homeschool activity. It has been a great way to learn new Thanksgiving-themed vocabulary and practice matching.

(single PDF file includes 8 Bingo cards and calling pieces)

I've gotten a lot of requests to make more than 8 Bingo cards for larger groups that will be playing Bingo. To help solve this problem without having to create a whole bunch of card designs, I've put together a version that will make it easy for everyone to customize their own Bingo card.

Free Printable Thanksgiving Bingo at artsyfartsymama.com #Thanksgiving #freeprintable #printable #bingo

Print out the DIY Thanksgiving Bingo Set, which comes with a blank card (with the "free" space already added), all 24 Bingo pieces, and the calling cards. Print out the cards on cardstock, and the Bingo pieces on cardstock or regular copy paper.

Cut the Bingo pieces by following the lines. Glue the pieces wherever you want on the card with glue stick or Elmer's until all the spaces (except the "free" space) are covered. This would be a fun activity for older kids to do all on their own. Younger children will need some assistance with the cutting, but my daughter had no problem gluing all the pieces down.
(single PDF file includes blank Bingo card, Bingo pieces, and calling pieces)

Free Printable Thanksgiving Bingo at artsyfartsymama.com #Thanksgiving #freeprintable #printable #bingo

Game Instructions
1. Pick some kind of object to mark your squares: candy corn, beans, M&Ms, smarties, wrapped candy, cereal, or any other small items work great!
2. Give each player a Bingo card and markers (or put your own together with the DIY set). Have each player put a marker over the free space.
3. The caller will draw a calling piece and announce the item on the card. Each player will cover that item on their card with a marker. Once a player has 5 squares covered in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally), they call out "BINGO!" and win the game!

*You may NOT modify, re-sell, redistribute, or claim the design as your own.
*Please do not remove the credits/watermarks.

Download Instructions:
On the top left under "File", click the "Download" option. A pop-up window should appear. Make sure the "Save File" option is selected, then click OK to download.

To lengthen the life of the prints, I would recommend printing the Bingo cards and calling pieces on cardstock and laminating. All files are 8.5x11 inches and put together in a single PDF format.

Have fun!! Would love to hear from you if you play using my printable!
