Oh, how I love making Harry Potter-inspired crafts. Polymer clay is a lot of fun to work with, and is the perfect medium to make these grumpy, little, potted mandrakes! Like Pygmy Puffs, Mandrakes are also creatures that are briefly mentioned in the Harry Potter books. This is probably one of my favorite projects that I've made. I start laughing every time I look at them on display, which is just what this Potterhead needs!

Back again with another fun Harry Potter project! Today is all about Pygmy Puffs, which are a fluffy, magical creature that is briefly mentioned in Harry Potter. My daughter loves the idea of owning her own Pygmy Puff, so we decided to make one ourselves! We had a lot of fun picking out *just* the right fabric and working together to create this little puffball creature that immediately stole our hearts.

For those who haven't read the books, here's the description according to Harry Potter Wiki: “A Pygmy Puff is a miniature Puffskein, bred in the back of Fred and George Weasley’s shop Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes at 93 Diagon Alley in London, and sold there as one of the known products in the WonderWitch range. It is one of their most popular products, as George said they were having trouble breeding them fast enough for the demand. Ginny Weasley bought a purple Pygmy Puff named Arnold in 1996, which she frequently played with at Hogwarts.”

Using my Cricut and a few little tricks, this coaster set is easy to make for your home decor and would also make a great gift idea for fellow Harry Potter fans.

DIY Luna Lovegood Spectrespecs Straw Topper

Make your own Luna Lovegood straw topper using your favorite glitters and resin!

Harry Potter is one of my favorite things, and Luna Lovegood is one of my favorite characters. She's quirky, unique, and keeps things interesting.  I've been keeping my favorite tumbler with me to keep me cool in the hot weather, and decided to finally make a project that's been on my list: a spectrespecs straw topper! It stays on your straw to keep your cup recognizable, while at the same time showing off your favorite fandom!

This whole process was actually a fun experiment for me. I designed the spectrespecs to print on our 3D printer, then poured the Silicone Mold, and then created the resin piece you see here! I am really proud of myself and have been so excited to show you this project! I hope you love it as much as I do!!

For Halloween this year, my daughter asked me to help her put a costume together to look like Luna Lovegood, a friend of Harry Potter. We are both obsessed with Harry Potter, so this was a fun challenge! Instead of going store-bought, we were able to DIY/thrift everything we needed for this costume which saved us a lot of money and allowed us to get creative. If you also admire this unique character, this costume is perfect for Halloween and cosplay!

To all my fellow Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter fans, this one is for you! I absolutely love everything that has to do with the world of Harry Potter, and am especially loving Fantastic Beasts lately. I have really enjoyed using my Harry Potter bookmarks and I was inspired to create these Fantastic Beasts character bookmarks that I think you'll love, too!

We have watched Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them multiple times, and can't wait for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald in November!

Download and print the bookmarks on cardstock. Use a paper trimmer or scissors and cut out the bookmarks. Laminate the bookmarks if you want them to last longer.

Lucky for me, my daughter is a Potterhead just like her mama. She helped me throughout the design process of these bookmarks to make sure they turned out right. There are four characters included in this printable set. Just in case you are *gasp* new to Fantastic Beasts, they are: Newt Scamander, Jacob Kowalski, Porpentina "Tina" Goldstein, and Queenie Goldstein.

We love how these bookmarks turned out and they are a fun and magical way to encourage reading!

Are you a Harry Potter fan? I sure am. My daughter and I have been reading the Harry Potter series together for years, and it is so fun to share the love of this magical world together! We've even taken the quizzes on Pottermore to find out which Hogwarts houses we belong in (goooo Hufflepuff!). This inspired me to create some Harry Potter Hogwarts House Bookmarks as part of the annual Happy Harry Potter Series with other talented Harry Potter-loving bloggers!

Just in case you are *gasp* new to Harry Potter, the students at the School of Hogwarts are divided into four houses, thanks to the Sorting Hat. Each house bears the last name of its founder: Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Rowena Ravenclaw and Helga Hufflepuff.

Gryffindor values courage, bravery, nerve, and chivalry. Gryffindor's mascot is the lion, and its colors are red and gold.

Hufflepuff values hard work, patience, justice, and loyalty. Hufflepuff's mascot is the badger, and their colors are yellow and black.

Ravenclaw values intelligence, creativity, learning, and wit. The house mascot is an eagle and its house colors are blue and bronze.

Slytherin values ambition, cunning, leadership, and resourcefulness. Their mascot is the serpent, and the house colors are green and silver.

Once you've figured out which house you belong to (by quiz or by choice, either way is great!), download and print out these bookmarks with each house crest and color to show some Hogwarts house pride.
