Learn how to make your own two-colored paracord bracelets!
Last summer we took on the Percy Jackson Challenge, and my daughter has been obsessed with Greek mythology ever since. She has read The Trials of Apollo series from Rick Riordan multiple times, and is SO excited for the release of book #5 coming this October!
With so many summer camps cancelled this year, young readers can still go to camp - at Camp Half-Blood! We did all kinds of fun activities at our at-home camp, like reading books and making paracord bracelets to represent Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter from The Trials of Apollo series!

During this time of staying at home, I think it’s the perfect time to send notes to connect with our friends and family. Plus, it's a fun way to teach kids to not only write letters, but how to write an address and place a stamp.

This pillow is the perfect size to cuddle up with to read on a sunny afternoon, and the pocket on the front will hold your kids favorite books and flashlight, or a beloved stuffed animal to take to a sleepover or on a long car ride. It's such an easy pillow to make, and would even recommend it as a great beginner project!

After completing the Percy Jackson Challenge this last spring, my daughter has become even more obsessed with Greek mythology. She has just started reading The Trials of Apollo series from Rick Riordan, and is loving it! There are four books in the series, with the newest one being The Tyrant's Tomb! To celebrate this new series, we decided to make our own Trials of Apollo Bottlecap Elastic Bookmark.
We've made it our goal to read through Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians series this summer. We've been tracking our progress using our Percy Jackson bookmarks and just started the fifth and final book in the series, The Last Olympian. It's a little bittersweet finishing the series, but it was wonderful to spend some quality time together reading good books filled with entertaining Greek mythology adventures. To celebrate completing our goal, I designed this "Demigod in Training" shirt with a FREE cut file to share with all of you!

It's such a fun book-inspired project and we're sharing the tutorial (and free printable templates) so you can make one for yourself!

My daughter and I love to spend time together reading books. We try to make time to read at least one chapter a day, and before we know it, we're finished with the entire series! Our goal this summer is to read through the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. To remind us to take this challenge one chapter at a time, I've designed some Percy Jackson Reading Challenge Bookmarks to pair with the books to see our progress as we work through the series!

Print out these Free Printable Fantastic Beasts Bookmarks to save your spot in your favorite books!
To all my fellow Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter fans, this one is for you! I absolutely love everything that has to do with the world of Harry Potter, and am especially loving Fantastic Beasts lately. I have really enjoyed using my Harry Potter bookmarks and I was inspired to create these Fantastic Beasts character bookmarks that I think you'll love, too!
We have watched Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them multiple times, and can't wait for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald in November!
Download and print the bookmarks on cardstock. Use a paper trimmer or scissors and cut out the bookmarks. Laminate the bookmarks if you want them to last longer.
Lucky for me, my daughter is a Potterhead just like her mama. She helped me throughout the design process of these bookmarks to make sure they turned out right. There are four characters included in this printable set. Just in case you are *gasp* new to Fantastic Beasts, they are: Newt Scamander, Jacob Kowalski, Porpentina "Tina" Goldstein, and Queenie Goldstein.
We love how these bookmarks turned out and they are a fun and magical way to encourage reading!
