I've just gotten myself a new planner, and I'm excited to make an attempt (ahem...again) at getting myself organized and planned out. As I've been traveling, it's been hard to keep my planner accessories organized along with my planner. I've tried a few store-bought pouches, but they didn't really work like I wanted. So, I took matters into my own hands I decided to try making my own Zippered Pencil Pouch. This was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. Not only do I LOVE the fabric, but I am thrilled with how the pouch turned out and have had a lot of success with it! If you are in a similar predicament, I know you are going to love making a custom pencil pouch of your own.

Thanksgiving Turkey Shirt with FREE Cut File

I'm so excited to show you guys the shirt I just finished for my daughter to wear on Thanksgiving!

I've never done an applique {gasp!} and it was much easier than I expected. So, if you're a beginner and have wanted to try it, DO IT! It's so fun. For those of you who are pros at this and are laughing at my excitement over something so simple, try not to judge too much!

Back again with another fun Harry Potter project! Today is all about Pygmy Puffs, which are a fluffy, magical creature that is briefly mentioned in Harry Potter. My daughter loves the idea of owning her own Pygmy Puff, so we decided to make one ourselves! We had a lot of fun picking out *just* the right fabric and working together to create this little puffball creature that immediately stole our hearts.

For those who haven't read the books, here's the description according to Harry Potter Wiki: “A Pygmy Puff is a miniature Puffskein, bred in the back of Fred and George Weasley’s shop Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes at 93 Diagon Alley in London, and sold there as one of the known products in the WonderWitch range. It is one of their most popular products, as George said they were having trouble breeding them fast enough for the demand. Ginny Weasley bought a purple Pygmy Puff named Arnold in 1996, which she frequently played with at Hogwarts.”

My daughter is a bookworm, and is always on the go. I made this Book Pocket Pillow for her to take her books with her wherever she goes, and be comfortable at the same time! This pillow is the perfect size to cuddle up with to read on a sunny afternoon, and the pocket on the front will hold your kids favorite books and flashlight, or a beloved stuffed animal to take to a sleepover or on a long car ride. It's such an easy pillow to make, and would even recommend it as a great beginner project!

If you know a kid with sensory issues, you'll agree that weighted blankets and lap pads can be a lifesaver. My daughter has ADHD, and her weighted blanket has helped so much! After researching lap pads, I knew I could make something myself that was cuter and a lot more affordable. She is obsessed with wolves right now, so I decided to make a wolf stuffed animal that doubles as a lap pad for homework time and to keep calm when she starts feeling overwhelmed.

**I am SO sorry, but I didn't realize Cricut removed Simplicity patterns from their library until now! This pattern directly from Simplicity is similar to what I used. I plan to make some new printable patterns similar to this project that you will be able to be cut with the Cricut Maker.
