Teacher Appreciation Resin Apple Jar

Do you know why teaching is symbolized with an apple? As early as the 16th century, teachers were gifted with apples as a token of appreciation, but they were also given as payment. Nowadays, giving your teacher an apple may not be as exciting as it used to be, but this Resin Apple Jar is a great substitution. Made with resin and sparkling glitter, this apple jar can be filled with anything you'd like to give along with the jar (think small treats, paper clips, and other small objects) for your favorite teacher. When closed, the jar can be put on display on the teacher's desk as a reminder of how appreciated they are!

I'm really loving creating jewelry with polymer clay lately, and have been trying to learn all of the different techniques. For example, I just learned how to make realistic flowers using clay, and I had so much fun with it! These Polymer Clay Floral Dangle Earrings turned out better than I ever imagined, and it's a lot easier to do than you'd think. You can make them in any color, and they are the perfect accessory for any occasion. They will add a pop of color to a casual outfit, or will look elegant with something dressier. DIY "Emotional Support Candy" Jar

Treat yourself to a custom "Emotional Support Candy" Jar made with Ikonart!

I don't know about you, but once in a while, something sweet just seems to help after an emotional day. As a helpful way to organize my favorite treats (to eat when I'm feeling down), I decided to add a funny "Emotional Support Candy" phrase to a glass storage jar. You could use vinyl, but a a custom stencil made with the Ikonart kit doesn't require any weeding and is SO easy! Plus, you can reuse the stencil to add the design to as many jars as you want - which is great for gifting, small businesses, and so much more.  I'm also sharing the design here in the post so that you can make your own "Emotional Support Candy" Jar!

April is Autism Awareness Month, so I wanted to share something creative I made to celebrate. My daughter is autistic, so this is a pretty special month. Awareness months and causes are usually represented with a colored ribbon. Autism is typically represented with a puzzle piece, so I made a resin shaker keychain in the shape of an awareness ribbon and filled it with multi-colored puzzle piece confetti! This is a pretty simple project, and can be customized with any color to represent other causes.
