Our family really enjoys traveling, especially on road trips. One must-have for every road trip is, of course, snacks! This cupcake puppy chow is sweet to munch on while on the road, at parties, or even playdates. Sometimes schedules prevent us from going on vacation, so we have to pretend. We've been playing with some new My Little Pony and Littlest Pet Shop toys from Hasbro and taking them on their own road trip adventures!

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Pinkie Pie Row & Ride Swan Boat Set

Our friend, Pinkie Pie, likes to row her friends along in the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Pinkie Pie Row & Ride Swan Boat Set. Though it isn't intended to go in real water, it's a lot of fun to take the ponies along and use our imaginations. Pinkie Pie's figure is poseable for rowing action and as the boat rolls, the music plays and she rows!

For a little added fun, you can scan the Pinkie Pie figure’s symbol into the My Little Pony Friendship Celebration app to can unlock her character! The My Little Pony Friendship Celebration app works with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Android devices.

Pinkie Pie LOVES parties, so we like to call this recipe Pinkie Pie's Party Chow. It's full of sprinkles (just how Pinkie Pie likes it) and is super sweet, just like Pinkie Pie! If you really want to make it match our favorite pony, you can color the chocolate with pink food coloring. Kids will love helping to shake up this fun treat and is simple enough for them to even make a batch all on their own!

Littlest Pet Shop LPS Shuttle

Another fun toy for road tripping is the Littlest Pet Shop LPS Shuttle. Take the pets on a tour through Downtown City in their very own double-decker shuttle bus! Barkley Woofley is the official driver of this fun-filled vehicle.

The set comes with everything you see here. A disco ball and star-shaped banners create a real party atmosphere, and the emoji bubble lets everyone know what a fun time the pets are having – right through the megaphone on the roof! Pets can even slide off the back of the bus on the bright green slippery slide!

Pack the bus up with your favorite LPS friends and get ready to party! Depending on the size of your pets, you can fit about 5 pets & 5 pet friends into the bus. While on the adventure, you can snack on some Littlest Pet Shop Cupcake Puppy Chow!

Just like with the Pinkie Pie set, you can bring the pets to life in the LPS Your World app. Once the app is launched, simply hold the pet and scan the code to unlock it in the game! Play activities, decorate, and design a cool Littlest Pet Shop world digitally! Check littlestpetshop.com for availability, compatibility, and instructions.

Pinkie Pie's Party Chow or
Littlest Pet Shop Cupcake Puppy Chow

Ingredients:
5 cups Rice Chex cereal
12 oz white chocolate chips (almond bark or candy melts work great, too)
1½ cups yellow cake mix
½ cup powdered sugar
rainbow sprinkles

Directions:
  1. In a large plastic bag, combine cake mix and powdered sugar. Set aside.
  2. Melt chocolate on a double boiler or in the microwave (stirring in 30 second intervals).
  3. Add 5 cups of Rice Chex cereal into a large bowl.
  4. Pour melted chocolate and a handful of sprinkles over cereal. Gently fold the cereal using a large spoon or rubber spatula with the chocolate. Stir until all the cereal is coated. Be careful not to break the cereal!
  5. Spoon or pour the chocolate-covered cereal into the plastic bag with the cake mix and powdered sugar.
  6. Zip up the bag and shake until all the cereal is coated with the powdered mixture.
  7. Once the cereal is coated and cooled, it's ready to eat!
