This Patriotic Funfetti Dip is the perfect party dessert to serve on Memorial Day and the 4th of July!

To make this fun and festive Patriotic Funfetti Dip, you will need these simple ingredients:
- vanilla yogurt: you can substitute with regular or low fat cream cheese.
- white cake mix: I prefer to use Betty Crocker cake mix, but any dry white cake mix will work!
*Cake mix has raw flour. To heat-treat the cake mix, spread it out evenly onto a large baking sheet and bake at 350º for 5 minutes. - whipped topping: This makes the dip light and fluffy! Again, you can use regular or low fat.
- sprinkles: I would recommend using jimmies instead of nonpareils in this recipe, because the colors are less likely to bleed into the dip.
- Use holiday sprinkles (like these patriotic 4th of July sprinkles) for different holiday-themed dips!
*If you want to add additional flavor, you can mix in some vanilla extract.
There are all kinds of options for dipping! These are some of our favorites:
- Vanilla wafers
- Animal crackers
- Shortbread cookies
- Chocolate wafers
- Graham crackers
- Pretzels
- Waffle cone pieces
- Oreos
- Brownie Brittle
- Strawberries
- Apples
- Pineapple
- ...and more!

If you opt for using cream cheese instead of yogurt, it's very important that the cream cheese has been softened - otherwise the dip will be lumpy. You can soften cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for 1 hour, or quicken the process by placing the cream cheese in a sealed baggie and submerge in warm water for 15-20 minutes.

Fold in the patriotic sprinkles, making sure to mix them evenly into the dip.

Pour the mixture into a serving bowl and top with additional sprinkles to cover the surface. Refrigerate the dip before serving.
To serve, surround the dip with an assortment of cookies and fruit. I would recommend using things like fruit, shortbread cookies, graham crackers, chocolate cookies, pretzels, and so much more (see list above with ingredients)!
