Copycat Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are undoubtedly one of the best breakfast pastries, but making them from scratch can take a lot of time and effort. Thanks to a viral TikTok trend, this clever cinnamon roll hack and will save you so much time and effort. Not only is this recipe super simple, but like the name says, these cinnamon rolls taste just like the ones from Cinnabon! This is definitely one of my new favorite recipes, and I know you're going to love it, too.

These delicious Copycat Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls are semi-homemade - meaning we are taking a few shortcuts to make this recipe even easier to make! All you need are these 6 simple ingredients: refrigerated cinnamon rolls with frosting (any kind will work, but I love the Grands!), heavy whipping cream, butter, cream cheese, brown sugar, and cinnamon. You will also need a mixing bowl8x8 baking pan, and a hand mixer or stand mixer.

Spray an 8x8 baking pan with nonstick spray or melted butter. Add the cinnamon rolls to the pan straight from the package. Make sure to space them out equally to give them room to expand. Pour the heavy cream into the pan, right over the cinnamon rolls.

Next, combine the melted butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar together and spoon the mixture generously over each cinnamon roll.

Bake the cinnamon rolls for 25-30 minutes, or refer to the package directions for baking time. As the cinnamon rolls bake, they absorb the heavy cream. This clever hack makes the rolls extra light and fluffy, and also balances out the sweetness. The additional cinnamon/sugar mixture adds a caramelized top and buttery sweetness to the rolls.

While the cinnamon rolls bake, mix up the tangy cream cheese frosting. In a small mixing bowl, blend the packaged frosting with cream cheese. Let the cinnamon rolls cool for at least 5-10 minutes. If you add the frosting to the rolls straight from the oven, the frosting will melt into a glaze that slides right off the rolls. If you wait a little bit for them to cool, the frosting will blend right on top.

I'd recommend enjoying the cinnamon rolls while they are still warm. They taste just like the gooey rolls you'd find at Cinnabon, but made in the comfort of your own home! To make a larger batch of these Copycat Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls, double the recipe and bake them in a 9x13 baking dish
