Avengers-Themed Girl's Night

My daughter really looks forward to our girl's nights together, and often plans the evening out with some kind of theme. In anticipation of MARVEL'S The Avengers: Age of Ultron coming to theaters on May 1st, we decided to have an Avengers-themed girl's night! Our plan was to watch The Avengers while eating snacks, playing bingo, and finishing the evening with some Hulk cake pops!!

Unfortunately, my daughter is at the age where she's noticing that people say that certain things are for girls and others are just for boys. Sometimes she feels like she "can't" play with action figures or other "boy" things. I try to tell her that superheroes are for girls, too, and that she can choose to play with any kind of toys she wants. Just looking at her, she is as girly as it gets, but she absolutely loves everything superhero and was so excited to have an evening dedicated to everything Avengers!

We found a lot of fun Avengers toys and snacks at Walmart, so I let my daughter choose a couple toys to play with during the movie. She found the Marvel Avengers Titan Hero Series Thor Figure and was excited to let him be a superhero to all her Barbies at home.

We also found the Playskool Heroes Marvel Super Hero Adventures Stark Tech Armor with Tony Stark and Hulk figure featuring the Hulkblaster from the new movie!! It's perfect for little hands, and my daughter loves all the fun features like the Hulk being able to jump up and knock Iron Man out of the Hulkblaster!

Toys are always fun, but my daughter is also a huge fan of reading and puzzles. Luckily, we found two MARVEL's The Avengers: Age of Ultron books with comic book-style stories based on the new movie. She read the books as soon as we got home, and again after the movie at bedtime. The puzzle is 100 pieces which will keep her busy for a little while and comes in a resealable bag!

The Avengers Kellogg's Fruit Snacks and Cheez-It baked snack crackers make a fun movie snack, especially when you can put them in The Avengers plastic cups!! Both the crackers and fruit snacks have Avengers shapes and fun packaging to get us in superhero mode.

You can find The Avengers Kellogg's Fruit Snacks and Cheez-It baked snack crackers in the snack aisle in Walmart. There is also a MARVEL Avengers: Age of Ultron display in the toy section of Walmart with all kinds of new Avengers products and interactive displays that work with the Super Heroes Assemble app (available on both Android and iTunes)!! It was fun going through Walmart and looking at all the awesome Avengers merchandise that would make our girl's night even better.

Before the movie, we played my Free Printable Avengers Bingo I designed just for our party! The printable bingo includes our favorite superheroes and some new characters that you'll find in MARVEL's The Avengers: Age of Ultron! The Avengers Cheez-It crackers came in handy to be our bingo markers, and made an even better snack when we were done playing!

During the movie, we ate our snacks and enjoyed some Hulk Cake Pops for dessert!! To make the cake pops, we channeled our inner Hulk and SMASHED Oreos for the hair and had a blast!! The cake pops are simple to make, and I'd love to see if you make them, too.

We had so much fun having a girl's night to prepare for the release of MARVELS The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Which Avenger hero are you most excited to see in the movie?
