Giveaway {Jamberry Nails}

I was introduced to Jamberry Nails from Six Sisters' Stuff. I was so excited to try their nail shields out! I don't know about you, but having my toenails looking cute makes me feel a little better. Jamberry Nails makes that easy and lots of fun! It didn't take me very long to get the hang of it, and I think these would make a great gift, even if they are a gift to myself... :) They are affordable at $15 per sheet, and you really should know that they also have a SPECIAL OFFER going on right now: buy 3 get one FREE!!

Yep, those little piggies belong to yours truly... showing off the Pink Check design

What are they, you ask? "Jamberry Nail Shields are a solid film covering that can be applied directly to the nail by pressure and heat activation to create a water tight bond to your nail. The film is finished with a high gloss protective layer that prevents your nail shield from chipping or scuffing."

Unlike traditional nail polish, they won’t chip or stain the nail and require no drying time. There are over 150 styles of Jamberry Nail designs to choose from, so you're sure to find something that fits your personal style. They come with easy-to-follow application instructions and they also have an extremely helpful video tutorial.

I love the chrome nail shields! Just had to add in the second foot photo... my little helper decided she needed to pose, too.

What's even better is that they can be applied in just 15 minutes at home and are made to last up to 2 weeks on fingers and 6 weeks on toes! I went swimming the day after applying my nails and they held up great!

Let's "kick" off the fall season with a very exciting giveaway from

Hoo Are You?

Hoooooray!! It's Tuesday again!
Time for a little

1.  What is your Zodiac sign?
Virgo: the personality traits sound pretty accurate...

2. Name 3 things that are always in your purse besides your wallet:
Well, I carry around a diaper bag instead of a purse. The things that are mine in the diaper bag, though, are my cell phone, keys & mail.

3. Which magazines do you look at the most?
I love looking through Ikea & other catalogs, and crafty & quilting magazines.

4. Do you pluck or get your eyebrows waxed?
I will pluck the few stray hairs, but I'd rather get them waxed. Get rid of it all at once!! Plucking is torture.

5. How often do you go grocery shopping?
We probably go once a week or so to get random things we need (milk, etc), but large grocery trips are probably about once a month.

Chocolate-Filled Cookie Dough

Chocolate chip cookies are probably the best invention ever made. An even better invention was the creation of that very dough... I don't know about you, but whenever there is cookie dough in the vicinity, I can't resist eating some! I risked my health countless times just to steal some dough before my mom turned around.

Well, worry no more! Here is a safe-to-eat recipe for cookie dough (like saying it's not safe will stop you anyway) that literally takes just a few minutes to mix together. Plus, you most likely already have all the ingredients on hand. A dream come true, right?

 Chocolate-Filled Cookie Dough at

Safe-to-Eat/Eggless Cookie Dough:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2+ cup chocolate chips (I always add more...)

  1. Cream together butter and sugars until light & fluffy.
  2. Add in milk & vanilla, then slowly add in flour.
  3. Add in desired amount of chocolate chips.

Scoop out a spoonful and taste-test, just to make sure it's tasty. Then double dip and try some more...

For the "chocolate filling", I globbed spoonfuls of refrigerated hot fudge (not hot) onto some wax paper and placed in the freezer.

**Just FYI, hot fudge doesn't freeze. It just gets really cold and stiff. So, place in the freezer as soon as you can after placing on the wax paper, it melts kind of fast.

Place cookie dough in fridge or freezer for a couple hours, then form the dough into 1 inch balls and set aside. Either flatten or make a bowl out of a dough ball, then scoop some of the fudge into the center of the 'bowl' and then enclose the fudge in the center of the dough ball.

Place in the freezer for a few hours, best if overnight.

These would also taste great dipped in chocolate and made into a truffle.

Hoo Are You?

I can't believe it's Tuesday again already!
Time for another round of

1. What are your favorite 3 things about fall?
It's cooler weather, time to get ready for all the fun-filled holidays, and it means the time is here to start thinking of fun designs for Christmas card orders!

2. Are you a football fan and if so who is your favorite team?
That would be a nope. I probably watch some for Superbowl, but that's because I'm waiting for the commercials. Not a huge sports fan at all, really... I'd kind of rather be watching some reality TV or awesome movies!

3. What is your favorite fall scent?
I love the pumpkin spice or cinnamon candles, and the smell of yummy pumpkin pie!! :)

4. Do you have seasonal allergies?
I never had any allergies before I was pregnant with my daughter. Now I kind of get them, but not sure if it's seasonal... my husband has bad allergies all year long (he's pretty much allergic to anything that grows), so that's always fun :P

5. Have you started Christmas shopping yet?
Yep!! I'm working on some great ideas!! Plus my daughter's birthday is right around Christmas, so that means double the shopping to be done!! Have a loooong list to work on this year.

DIY Necklaces Part 2

As promised, here is the other necklace I was working on along with the other necklaces in this post.

I cut the image & Mod Podged it to the inside the pendant. Then I poured some Dimensional Magic over it and let it set overnight. It ended up getting some bubbles, but I'm not sure why.

Now that you're up to speed on this necklace, here is where the "Part 2" comes in! The cool thing about this pendant is that it's double-sided! How cool is that?! Well, I thought it was pretty cool. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, but then I covered the "L" in some glitter and then it came to me. When in doubt - add more glitter!!

I set ip a pretty sweet contraption to hold the pendant (the Dimensional Magic on the other side was still a little tacky). It consisted of a glass and an empty crayon box. I know, I'm genius... :) The pendant fit perfectly inside!

First, I poured a small amount of Dimensional Magic inside the empty pendant. Then I dumped some glitter over top and let it sit for a few hours. Then I went back and poured another layer of Dimensional Magic on top of the glitter and let it set overnight.

And that's IT!!

So sparkly... I love it!!

Now to show off my mad modeling skills:
