Celebrate the "ball drop" this New Year's Eve with a chocolate pop by serving these effortless, no-bake New Year’s Oreo Truffles!

These New Year's Eve Oreo Truffles are easy to make and are a fun treat to share with family and friends at your New Year's celebrations. Even better, the kids can help! Here's what you'll need:
(Specific measurements and full recipe instructions are found below)
- Oreos - use regular Oreos, not Double Stuf Oreos for this recipe. Use other Oreo varieties (mint, peanut butter, etc) to change up the flavor!
- cream cheese - adds a bit of flavor and binds the crumbs together
- chocolate chips - semi-sweet chocolate chips, but dark chocolate or chocolate melting wafers are fine to use. These will be melted to dip the truffles into for a sweet coating.
- white candy melts - used to drizzle over the truffles. White chocolate chips or almond bark can also be used.
- New Year's sprinkles - sprinkled on top of the truffles to give them a festive New Year's look!
You will also need a hand/stand mixer, mixing bowls, cookie scoop, baking sheet, parchment paper, and a piping bag.

Crush the cookies, cream and all, into a fine crumb. You can do this by putting them into a sealed plastic bag and crushing them with your hands or a rolling pin, or you can put the cookies into a food processor and pulse them to crumbs.
Once crushed, keep the cookies in the food processor or pour the crumbs into a large mixing bowl. Add in the softened cream cheese, and then mix together until you get a thick, paste-like consistency.

Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, or a melt in a double boiler until smooth. Dip a truffle into the chocolate until completely coated. Gently tap to remove the excess. Place the truffle back onto the baking sheet.
Let the truffle coating set completely. To make the process quicker, pop them in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.

Melt the white melting wafers in the microwave or a double boiler until smooth. Place the melted wafers into a small piping bag or ziplock bag and snip the corner off. Drizzle it over the top of the Oreo truffles. Immediately top with New Year's sprinkles.
Let the coating set completely before serving. Refrigerate the truffles for 10-15 minutes to make the process quicker.
