These Football Rice Krispie Treats are a simple and sweet treat to share with family and friends on game day! Here's what you'll need:
(Specific measurements and full recipe instructions are found below)
- chocolate crispy rice cereal: use name brand or generic cereal - they work the same!
- butter: salted butter or even vegan butter (for dairy-free) can be used in this recipe
- mini marshmallows: mini marshmallows melt faster than regular marshmallows, but you can use regular sized ones and chop them up before adding to the mixture.
- cookie icing: white cookie icing is used to decorate the treats
You will also need a saucepan, parchment paper, and nonstick spray.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Then add mini marshmallows* and stir until smooth. Remove pan from heat and add Cocoa Rice Krispies cereal. Stir well to evenly coat the cereal in the marshmallow mixture.
*Regular marshmallows will take longer to melt than mini marshmallows, but can absolutely be used instead!

Let the cereal mixture cool slightly. Spray your hands with non-stick spray to keep the mixture from sticking to your hands. Carefully form the cereal mixture into football shapes, then place them onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to finish cooling.

Use the cookie icing to draw the lines and laces onto the footballs. Allow the icing to set before serving.

Why these Football Rice Krispie Treats are a game-day winner:
- Quick Prep: No baking required, so you can focus on the appetizers!
