Kids Fruit Jewelry

Kids Fruit Jewelry Tutorial at artsyfartsymama.com #kidscraft #summer

I think summertime is one of the most colorful seasons. I love seeing all the bright colors in the clothes, decorations, and especially the food! When my daughter saw these cute fruit beads, she wanted to make some fun summer jewelry with it. Of course I obliged, and she had so much fun creating some new summer accessories!

Supplies:
1mm Stretch Magic elastic cord
Fruit Beads (found at Wholeport)
Super Glue

Cut a 10-12" length of elastic cord, and tie a double or triple knot at one end. Pull the knot tight, and add a drop of super glue. Hold tight for a minute or so until the glue is dry. This will help keep your knot from coming undone.

Now your kids can have at it! Dump the beads out on a table, and let your child string the fruit beads to create some "sweet" jewelry! This could also be a great activity for smaller children to create patterns with the fruit.

**Ignore the cheesy fingers - we obviously are big fans of crafting and snacking!!

Add beads until the bracelet fits around their wrist comfortably. Since each bead is a different size and shape, it's hard to say exactly how many you'll need. Finish off the bracelet by double or triple knotting the ends together and seal with a drop of super glue.

My daughter has loved wearing her fruit jewelry this summer. Plus, this was a fun project to keep her little hands busy, and it goes quickly enough that these would even be great for your kids to make for their friends!

I received product from Wholeport. All opinions are my own.
