4th of July Clothesline Art

Are you ready for my 4th of July version of the clothesline art?

To see the other versions of my clothesline art:

All you need for this project is:
11"x14" Canvas
1.5" Star-Shaped Punch
Red & Blue Paint chips
Mini Clothespins
String/Twine/etc {I used black embroidery thread}

Head to any paint-selling store {I chose Smith's Marketplace this time} and pick out a bunch of paint chips {3 Blue, 7 Red}. The colors I chose were Capricorn Blue and Candy Apple Red by Dutch Boy.

Punch or cut out 4-6 blue stars and 12-14 red stars {or more, if that's how you roll}. You will use the higher number of stars if the canvas is horizontal, and less if the canvas is vertical.

Tape or glue one end of the string onto the back of the canvas and wrap the thread/string/twine/etc around the canvas until you have four lines across the front and then tape or glue the other end of the string on the back.

Now it's time to attach the stars!

Carefully clip the stars onto the string with the mini clothespins and arrange however you want - crooked or perfect, it's all up to you! The horizontal canvas looks more "flag-ish", but I love the vertical style, too :)

Hope you all have a fantastic 4th of July!
