DIY Glittered Easter Egg Wreath

Decorate your home for Easter with this easy-to-make DIY Glittered Easter Egg Wreath!

DIY Glittered Easter Egg Wreath

After doing a little Easter shopping for our upcoming family Easter egg hunt, I came across these glittery beauties and couldn't resist adding them to the cart. Instead of filling them with sweet treats and surprises though, I decided they needed to adorn my walls every spring instead in the form of a wreath!!

DIY Glittered Easter Egg Wreath

You only need 3 supplies:
4 dozen Multi-Colored Glittered Easter Eggs (I found mine at Walmart)
Glue Gun & Glue Sticks

Step 1: Hold the egg carefully in your hand and add a large drop of glue on the center of the egg.

Step 2: Carefully place the egg on the wreath form and hold in place for a few minutes until the glue has set.

DIY Glittered Easter Egg Wreath

Step 3: Place the rest of the eggs close to each other until the wreath is covered. You won't need to cover the back of the wreath since it won't be seen.

Step 4: Once the wreath is covered with sparkling eggs, you're done! You can add embellishments like ribbon or Easter grass, but I decided to keep mine with just the eggs. Glue a small piece of ribbon shaped like a "U" on the back to work as a wreath hanger.

DIY Glittered Easter Egg Wreath

This wreath is so easy to make and doesn't take too long at all. It's a great crafternoon or girl's night project, but prepare to be covered in glitter when you're done! Obviously, the larger the wreath, the more eggs you will need. I also recommend putting on your favorite movie or binge-watching some Netflix while you make your wreath since the gluing can get a little monotonous after a while. Just watch your fingers so you don't burn yourself!!

Hang the wreath on your door or walls, or stand it up on a shelf with your favorite Easter knick knacks and decor. I am absolutely loving this wreath and hope you do, too!

If there's one thing that get get me laughing, it's Minions. The Despicable Me movies and Minions are some of my favorites. That's why I decided to create some Minions Bookmarks that are free for you to print out and use!!

Even though spring just got here, we are really, REALLY looking forward to summer so we can go see Despicable Me 3 on June 30th! Haven't seen the preview yet? Check it out (it's hilarious):

Illumination, who brought audiences Despicable Me and the biggest animated hits of 2013 and 2015, Despicable Me 2 and Minions, continues the adventures of Gru, Lucy, their adorable daughters - Margo, Edith and Agnes - and the Minions in Despicable Me 3. Directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda, co-directed by Eric Guillon and written by Cinco Paul & Ken Daurio, the animated film is produced by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy, and executive produced by Chris Renaud.

Joining Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig in Despicable Me 3 is Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award winner Trey Parker, co-creator of Comedy Central’s global phenomenon South Park and the Broadway smash The Book of Mormon. Parker voices the role of villain Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who’s grown up to become obsessed with the character he played in the ‘80s, and proves to be Gru’s most formidable nemesis to date.

Mother's Day Bottle Cap Keychains are a creative craft for kids to make an awesome, custom keychain moms, aunts, and grandmothers are sure to love!

As a mom, I think some of the best gifts you can receive are ones that kids make especially for you. With a little help, my daughter made me this sweet bottle cap keychain that I can take everywhere with me. These keychains are so simple and quick to make, and kids of all ages will have a ton of fun creating something special with their artwork.

Mother's Day Bottle Cap Keychains are a creative craft for kids to make an awesome, custom keychain moms, aunts, and grandmothers are sure to love!

Supplies Needed:
Flat Bottle Cap
Epoxy Sticker
Key Chain Ring
1 inch (2.54 cm) Circle Craft Punch
Strong, Clear Glue (super glue, E6000, Beacon Mixed Media)
Ultra Fine Marker Pens
Cardstock

Mother's Day Bottle Cap Keychains are a creative craft for kids to make an awesome, custom keychain moms, aunts, and grandmothers are sure to love!

Punch some 1 inch circles out of white cardstock using the circle craft punch. Cut more than you'll need. Once kids get started making different designs, they want to keep making more, or sometimes they make mistakes and just want to start over.

Mother's Day Bottle Cap Keychains are a creative craft for kids to make an awesome, custom keychain moms, aunts, and grandmothers are sure to love!

Now, for the fun part! Grab some ultra fine marker pens in a variety of colors. It doesn't matter what brand you use. You can see that we used a few different kinds! Encourage kids to draw things they think the recipient will love. Things like hearts, self-portraits, words or phrases are a great place to start!

After kids are done drawing, lay out all the designs they created and choose the one to make into a keychain. This is probably the hardest part of the entire process!! So many cute ones to choose from!

Mother's Day Bottle Cap Keychains are a creative craft for kids to make an awesome, custom keychain moms, aunts, and grandmothers are sure to love!

Once they have chosen an image, it's time to put the bottle cap keychain together. You'll need the drawing, bottle cap, epoxy sticker, a keychain ring, and some strong glue.

Mother's Day Bottle Cap Keychains are a creative craft for kids to make an awesome, custom keychain moms, aunts, and grandmothers are sure to love!

Carefully place the epoxy sticker over the drawing. Be careful not to touch the back of the sticker before you stick it to the paper, otherwise you'll get fingerprints that show through on the image. Use a vinyl scraper tool or credit card and rub the back of the paper to get any air bubbles out.

Mother's Day Bottle Cap Keychains are a creative craft for kids to make an awesome, custom keychain moms, aunts, and grandmothers are sure to love!

Add a drop of glue on the bottle cap and then place the epoxied image into the bottle cap. Gently press it down and let dry for a few hours (check glue packaging for drying time).

Once the glue has dried, the keychain is ready to use! I absolutely love my keychain and think it's such a fun and creative gift idea from kids for any occasion, especially Mother's Day!

Ice Cream Sundae Birthday Gift Idea with Printable Birthday Card

This Ice Cream Sundae Birthday Gift Idea and Printable Birthday Card is sponsored by As You Wish Pottery. All opinions are mine alone.

I think birthdays are one of the most important holidays of the year. I enjoy making custom gifts for friends and family, and this Ice Cream Sundae Birthday Gift Box is a sweet way to celebrate them on their special day! It's the perfect gift for those who don't often take the time treat themselves, or a way to virtually share a dessert when you can't be together.

Ice Cream Sundae Birthday Gift Idea with Free Printable Birthday Card #AsYouWishPottery #whatcolorisyourfun

My daughter and I took our first trip to As You Wish this last week and had a blast! After scouring all the products in the studio, this adorable ice cream cone bowl caught my eye and knew it would make the perfect addition to the gift box. Even if you feel that you aren't "artsy", painting this bowl is easy and most importantly, FUN! The As You Wish staff are also there to help you if you need inspiration or painting tips. Plus, the paints, brushes, and anything else you need are provided so you don't need to bring anything but your creativity.

I mixed a couple of colors to paint the cone, then chose a chocolatey brown to make it appear that chocolate was dripping over the side of the bowl. Puffy paints were used to add some raised, three-dimensional sprinkles to the inside!

Once the paints were dry, I left the bowl with the As You Wish staff to do the dirty work of glazing and firing the project in a kiln.

After a couple of days, my bowl was ready to be picked up in the studio. It turned out even better than I imagined. Dishes like this one are dishwasher safe and can be filled with ice cream for years to come. Since it is hand-painted, it really makes the gift more unique and memorable.

Now that the main part of the gift is done, you need a few more supplies to complete the gift box. Choose ice cream toppings your gift recipient enjoys. I purchased caramel and hot fudge toppings, and used smaller jars to hold crushed Oreos, peanuts, and of course sprinkles! A sundae isn't a sundae without a cherry on top, so don't forget to add those! You can also add in a cute spoon or ice cream scoop.

I lined a large box (about the size of a shoe box) with multi-colored tissue paper and arranged all the items to fit. If you are shipping the box, make sure to add some wrap around each product so the glass jars and bowl won't break!!

To complete the gift box, print out the Free Printable Birthday Card on cardstock and place it inside or on top of the box along with a cute and colorful bow!

If you don't want to make a gift box, this card can also be paired with the ice cream bowl and a gift card to an ice cream parlor!

Disney Moana Starlight Canoe and Friends

Thanks to Hasbro for the toys shared in this post. All opinions are my own. #PlayLikeHasbro

Reenact your favorite scenes from Disney's Moana with this Disney Moana Starlight Canoe and Friends play set!

Disney Moana Starlight Canoe and Friends set from Hasbro #PlayLikeHasbro

Have you gotten to see Disney's Moana yet? In case you haven't noticed, we are completely infatuated with this movie. It's such a sweet story and the characters are some of my top favorites. This Disney Moana Starlight Canoe and Friends set from Hasbro is one that kids will love and has a ton of features that will make playtime an ocean of fun!

Since this set is geared for kids, it only makes sense that my daughter helped me with a video review! Check out her latest video and see what she thinks of Moana Starlight Canoe and Friends!

Disney Moana Starlight Canoe and Friends set from Hasbro #PlayLikeHasbro

Recommended for ages 3+, this set comes with everything you need to recreate scenes from the movie and to make up adventures of your own. The boat features a gentle rocking action to imitate the motion of the ocean (NOT recommended for actual water play), and Moana and her 2 best friends can find their way by starlight using a projector from the front of the boat!

Disney Moana Starlight Canoe and Friends set from Hasbro #PlayLikeHasbro

Moana of Oceania and her friends Pua and Hei Hei look just like their on-screen characters and are a high quality. The Moana doll has bendable knees, and gorgeous, curly hair. Her clothes, which are a fabric/faux grass skirt and plastic top, are removable. She's also got her iconic seashell necklace, which also comes off.

Disney Moana Starlight Canoe and Friends set from Hasbro #PlayLikeHasbro

While the canoe is absolutely stunning with its colorful plumerias and attention to detail, the coolest part is definitely the built-in projector. With the push of a button, you can help Moana find her way using the constellations. Turn the flower turn-dial to adjust the projector to shine starlight on the wall or in front of the boat.

In the dark, the starlight shines bright and shows the brilliant constellation! It also shows up well in daylight, but it shines brightest in a dark or dim room.

Moana is playing non-stop at our house, both on and off screen due to my daughter spending countless hours playing with this set! You can purchase this set for $49.99 from Hasbro Toy Shop.

3-Ingredient Disney Moana Ocean Slime

Feel the call of the ocean with this 3-Ingredient Disney Moana-Inspired Ocean Slime!

Easy 3-Ingredient Disney Moana-Inspired Ocean Slime

We finally got to see Disney's Moana, and we are obsessed!! It's such a wonderful movie and the characters are so lovable. If you've seen the movie, you'll notice that the ocean has a personality all its own. This 3-Ingredient Moana Ocean Slime is easy enough for everyone to mix up, and it is sure to keep those kids entertained for hours recreating scenes from Moana and making up new adventures. For you homeschoolers, this also makes for a great science project!!

Easy 3-Ingredient Disney Moana-Inspired Ocean Slime

Making slime is pretty simple, and my daughter loves helping whenever we make a batch! To make this sparkly Moana Ocean Slime, all you need is:

Blue Elmer's Glitter Glue (6 oz)
1 teaspoon Borax
Water

*While it looks pretty and is a lot of fun, this slime is NOT edible. Because of that, I don't recommend letting small children play with it if there's a chance they will try to eat it. Be sure to also wash your hands and work/play space well after playing.

Easy 3-Ingredient Disney Moana-Inspired Ocean Slime

First, pour out the entire bottle glitter glue into a mixing bowl. My daughter loves this part and is getting better and better at it every time we mix up slime to play with. Fill the empty glue container with some hot water, put the lid back on, and shake well. This will get all of the excess glue out of the bottle and is an easy way to measure the water you need. Pour the water into the mixing bowl and stir until combined.

Easy 3-Ingredient Disney Moana-Inspired Ocean Slime

In a separate cup or bowl, mix together 1 teaspoon of Borax and 1/2 cup of hot water and stir until the Borax is completely dissolved. Now comes the fun part! Slowly add the Borax/water mixture to the glue mixture. As you stir with a spoon, you'll see that it almost immediately becomes thick and clumps together.

Easy 3-Ingredient Disney Moana-Inspired Ocean Slime

When it gets to that point, use your hands to mix it all together. Pull the clumps out and squish them together in your hands. Keep squishing the slime with your hands and kneading it like a dough until it's smooth and no longer sticky. Don't worry about any leftover water in the bowl - just pour it out when your slime is done.

Easy 3-Ingredient Disney Moana-Inspired Ocean Slime

To turn this ordinary sparkly, blue slime into Moana Ocean Slime, I found some metallic blue swirl confetti that reminds me of the Moana swirl logo and the swirl engraved on the Heart of Te Fiti from the movie. I grabbed a small handful of confetti and mixed it into the slime.

Easy 3-Ingredient Disney Moana-Inspired Ocean Slime

Stretch it, squish it, and have fun! The glittery slime is moldable, but won't hold it's shape for long. Squish your hands into it and leave a hand print, or create a shape and watch it melt into a blob. Your kids will be entertained for quite a while.

Store your slime in an airtight container or Ziploc bag. It should stay good for quite a while as long as you keep it sealed. I've also heard that keeping it in the fridge will help it stay useable longer.

Easy 3-Ingredient Disney Moana-Inspired Ocean Slime

To take our Moana Ocean Slime to another level of play, I grabbed this Disney Moana Adventure Canoe from Hasbro at Walmart. The set is a ton of fun and comes with a canoe, Moana doll, two figures, and accessories.

Easy 3-Ingredient Disney Moana-Inspired Ocean Slime

The canoe is able to float in water, so it's also safe enough to put into the slime to recreate ocean scenes from the movie. This batch size of slime is also the perfect amount to use with this set.

Easy 3-Ingredient Disney Moana-Inspired Ocean Slime

The figures are all small enough for playing in the ocean slime. Even though Moana's pets, Hei Hei, and Pua, don't do well in the water in the movie, you can give them their own special swimming lessons by wrapping the figures in the slime, pressing them into it, and doing whatever you can imagine for play.

Easy 3-Ingredient Disney Moana-Inspired Ocean Slime

My daughter also helped me stage this picture to show Moana giving the ocean a high-five! From when she first "meets" the ocean as a toddler until the end of the movie, Moana and the ocean have a special relationship.

Easy 3-Ingredient Disney Moana-Inspired Ocean Slime

We have been having so much fun with this Ocean Slime and the Moana play set. My daughter has been entertained for hours recreating scenes from Moana and making up new adventures of her own.

I would love to hear if you decide to make some Moana Ocean Slime with your kids!
