Paint your own Custom Name Carved Reindeer at As You Wish to bring a touch of merriment to your holiday decorations!
Painting pottery at As You Wish is one of my favorite hobbies, and is something my family likes to do together. Our latest piece is this Custom Name Carved Reindeer that is carved with whatever name or saying you want into it!
Since the reindeer is hand-carved with your custom order, it takes up to 4 weeks for it to be delivered to the As You Wish location of your choice. Once it arrives, it's ready for you to paint in your own style. If you ever need painting tips or inspiration, the staff is there to help you. You also won't need to bring anything to the studio except your creativity! The paints, brushes, and anything else you need are included the studio fee.
Since our reindeer is going to be on display with all of our other handmade holiday decor, we got the whole family involved in the painting process. My daughter loved getting to help choose the paint colors, and gathering all of the supplies for us to paint our project together.
After a couple of hours, our reindeer was finally covered in paint and ready for the As You Wish staff to fire it in the kiln to finish it for us. After about 3 days, you can pick up your project to take home and display in your home.
I am in love with all of the little details of our little reindeer. The carved wording, stars and dots came out beautifully, and the colors are vibrant and better than we imagined. We also added puffy paint polka dots to the sweater for a little more texture. The possibilities are endless for what you can create!
We couldn't decide on a color for the mittens on our reindeer, so we went with a white paint that had a mixture of colored speckles. I absolutely love how they turned out to give such a fun look! For the shoes, we added a black glittered top coat. You can never go wrong with glitter!
On the back of the reindeer is a hole for you to add a nightlight lightbulb kit so that you can light it up for the holidays. It's easy to install and with the cord in the back, you won't even be able to see it!
Flip the switch to turn the light on and see your custom name or saying illuminate a stunning glow for the holiday season! This little reindeer was so much fun to create. It's going to be a special piece that my family will treasure for years to come. I highly recommend it for every family to make together!
