Free Printable LEGO Batman Movie Bingo

Sponsored by LEGO®, get ready for the LEGO Batman Movie DVD release by building LEGO Batman BrickHeadz and playing Free Printable LEGO Batman Movie Bingo!

Download Free Printable LEGO Batman Movie Bingo

We saw the LEGO Batman Movie a few months ago and absolutely loved it! Everything about this movie is AWESOME!! We are counting down the days until we own it on DVD (June 13th!) and are planning on playing this Free Printable LEGO Batman Movie Bingo while we watch it!

LEGO Batman Movie Bingo includes all of your favorite characters, including Batman (of course), Batgirl, Joker, Robin, as well as a few new ones you might not recognize yet if you haven't seen the movie! The bingo set includes ten bingo cards, so it's easy to print and use for parties. It's fun for every age to play. The calling cards also include the names of the characters in case you don't know who they are.

(Set includes 10 bingo cards and calling cards in a single PDF file)

Download Free Printable LEGO Batman Movie Bingo

The blank set works a little differently. You get one bingo card with empty spaces (except for the "free" spot). Then print and cut out the bingo pieces so you can assemble the bingo cards yourself! Just glue the pieces in place and you're ready to play!

This is a great option for little hands that want to be creative, or if you have a larger group of people and don't want multiple cards that are the same. The blank bingo set includes all the same characters as the full set, but you can create your own bingo card setup.

(Set includes one blank bingo card, bingo pieces, and calling cards in a single PDF file)

Game Instructions
1. Pick some kind of object to mark your squares (LEGOs, candy, glass gems, buttons, etc)
2. Give each player a bingo card and markers (or put your own card together with the blank set).
3. Have each player put a marker over the free space.
4. Have one person choose a calling card and say it out loud. Each player will cover that item on their card with a marker.
5. Once a player has 5 squares covered in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally), call out "BINGO!" and win the game!

Some things you should know before downloading:

To lengthen the life of the prints, I would recommend printing the bingo cards and calling cards on cardstock. All sets are 8.5x11 inches and combined in a single PDF format.

Mom and Me Sporty SKECHERS for Summer

Thanks to SKECHERS for the awesomely sporty shoes featured in this post!

Mom and Me Sporty SKECHERS for Summer #SkechersStyle

My daughter and I are going to be spending a lot of time together during summer vacation. She has big plans for us to walk to the local parks and swimming pool daily, which will be a great way for me to work on getting in shape at the same time. My regular athletic shoes just weren't working for me anymore and my daughter's school shoes were also getting pretty worn out. I went to SKECHERS in search of some new ones that will hold up to all the activity we've got planned.

Mom and Me Sporty SKECHERS for Summer #SkechersStyle

Just in time for Mother's Day, we received our coordinating and CUTE sporty shoes to wear out on the town. We are now both ready to hit the pavement to have some athletic fun in the sun!

Mom and Me Sporty SKECHERS for Summer #SkechersStyle

My daughter chose the SKECHERS Skech-Air - Jumparound shoes to wear this summer. She got a different pair for back to school, and has absolutely loved them. Skech-Air shoes are perfect for kids that will be on their feet a lot and keeping active. They are incredibly light and come in a variety of colors!

Mom and Me Sporty SKECHERS for Summer #SkechersStyle

The colorful ombre design on the fabric is a fashionable and sporty look that girls everywhere will love. You even get two different pairs of shoelaces to choose from - sparkly multi-color or bright pink!! The Sketch Knit fabric is breathable to keep feet dry as well as stabilizing to keep feet where they're supposed to be. My daughter described the glittery air pillow pockets on the soles and gel infused memory foam on the inside as "making your feet feel like they are bouncing on clouds!"

Mom and Me Sporty SKECHERS for Summer #SkechersStyle

My shoes are the SKECHERS Galaxies. They are super light, and most importantly, were comfortable from the moment I put them on. The colors are bright, and will be perfect for summer!

Mom and Me Sporty SKECHERS for Summer #SkechersStyle

I can get out the door quickly thanks to the slip-on bungee laces. The stretch fit design and sporty flat knit mesh fit right to your feet, but the panels are stabilizing and breathable to keep your feet in place and feeling cool.

I still have a lot of trouble finding a shoe that stays comfortable after shattering my leg a few years ago, but the Memory Foam insoles on these Galaxies have been fantastic. I'm not feeling as many aches in my leg, which helps to give me the motivation to get back out there!

Mom and Me Sporty SKECHERS for Summer #SkechersStyle

We are looking forward to a fun and active summer! If you are looking for some new shoes for yourself and your kids, be sure to check out the new additions on the SKECHERS website, and on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

What are some of your favorite summer activities to get you moving?

How Worry Eaters Can Help Kids Cope with Anxiety

We received a Worry Eater plush from Haywire Group in exchange for this honest review. As always, all opinions are my own.

I have struggled with anxiety for as long as I can remember. Worrying about school, making friends, taking tests, and loads of imaginary scenarios were just part of life. There's a stigma around admitting you are feeling anxious or depressed. I was also reminded that all kids have their worries and doubts, so I assumed that everyone was just as anxious as I was. In 2013, I shattered my leg, bringing my anxiety to a whole new level.

While I was on 3 months of bedrest with my broken leg, my 3 year old daughter (at the time) was an incredible help to me. At such a young age, she unfortunately also got to witness the darkest time in her own mother's life. It breaks my heart to know that some of her worries and anxieties have been brought on by her witnessing this ordeal, but I have also noticed that she is a lot stronger at this age than I ever was because of it. It has been a tough road, but I am no longer ashamed to admit that I can't work through this alone. Most importantly, I have come to realize that it's really okay to ask others for help.

Worrying isn't a bad thing. In fact, worries and fears keep us safe. Obviously, children’s worries are different than the worries of adults. But just like adults, kids also have their fair share of demands, expectations and new experiences they have to face. At times, those childhood worries can be very BIG, and at other times, very small. However, no matter how big or small the worries are, they are ALL important.

I've tried to make it a point to teach my daughter that it's okay to talk about our worries and anxieties - no matter how big or small. Being the imaginative and curious kid that she is, she comes up with all kinds of things to worry about. Sometimes she tries to be like me and puts on a brave face to get through. Other times I am the first person she will come to, unashamed of how silly a worry might sound so that we can work through it together.

Last month, my daughter discovered Worry Eaters. She's an avid stuffed animal collector already, so at first glance I wasn't so sure she "needed" one. But after learning more about how they worked, I realized I was wrong. Worry Eaters are a great tool for helping kids identify worries, clarify misunderstandings, resolve conflicts and build self esteem, all while developing healthy coping skills.

The whole theme behind Worry Eaters is to “Let me carry your worries so you don’t have to.”

How it works:
Write down your worries and fears.
Feed them to me - I’ll hold them for you!
We’ll get through this together!

Worry Eaters offer children an opportunity to share their worries, and offer parents an opportunity to learn about those worries in a safe and playful way. There are a variety of Worry Eaters to choose from. My daughter's heart was set on Pomm - a plush, 11.4" tall, rabbit-esque creature. She's so soft and perfect for cuddling!

Larger pieces of paper fill up the Worry Eater's mouth quickly. So I designed some "Worry Cards" that my daughter has loved using to write out her worries, anxieties and fears to share with Pomm. Hopefully your kids will enjoy using them, too.

Talking about worries can sometimes be difficult for kids, so writing or drawing can be extremely helpful in opening up discussions. The Worry Eaters fit perfectly into that place between reality and fantasy by helping children cope with everyday worries in an extraordinary way. These printable cards are small (15 on the page), so kids can list a few worries, or be more descriptive about one in particular. They can also draw on the back! Parents may need to help younger children.

Each Worry Eater’s adorable zipper mouth provides children with a safe place to share their worries. After writing or drawing the worries, place them in the Worry Eater’s mouth so that the Worry Eater can hold onto them.

The act of physically placing that worry in the Worry Eater’s mouth is a great a way for kids to separate themselves from that worry or problem, giving them some time to “take a break” from carrying the weight of it. Those worries can then be shared with a parent to help your child face that worry, problem-solve solutions, and/or just acknowledge that the worry exists.

Easing Anxiety in Kids with Worry Eaters

Zip up the mouth after placing the worries inside. Once your child has shared their worries with their Worry Eater, it is important that you take your child’s lead in what comes next. Do they want to let the Worry Eater hold onto the worry for a while to “take a break”? Or would they like to share their worry with you?

Working together with your child and their Worry Eater, you can begin some problem solving. This involves finding creative ways to overcome these worries or changing it to something more manageable. You can also work on developing different coping strategies with your child. Since worries are a part of life, you and your child can find ways to be and feel successful when experiencing worry.

By sharing with her Worry Eater regularly, I've noticed that my daughter is feeling more confident when facing her worries. She also sleeps better at night being able to take the weight of the world off of her shoulders and share it with her new best friend, Pomm.

**It is important to remember that we as parents cannot fix everything. PLEASE don’t hesitate to seek help from your family doctor or pediatrician if you have any concerns about your child's worries. Your doctor will be able to discuss and collaborate with you on the appropriate plan for you and your child and their individual needs.**

Cute Sparkle Unicorn Milkshake

Not sure if you've heard, but Starbucks seems to have this new addition to their menu - the Unicorn Frappuccino. Sounds super fancy and it's also quite beautiful. Unfortunately, I am not a Frappuccino kind of girl... but, I would take a milkshake any day! This is how my Cute Sparkle Unicorn Milkshake was born.

Make your own unicorn drinks at home like this Cute Sparkle Unicorn Milkshake recipe

Before you whip up the milkshake, you need to prepare the glasses first. Have fun with it and remember that they don't have to be perfect. Just like unicorns, each Unicorn Milkshake is unique 😉

Melt down some blue candy melts in the microwave. Then, using a spoon or a squeeze bottle, drip the melted blue goodness along the inside of the glass and let it just drip down. Easy enough, right? Next, dip the rim of the glass into a bowl of the melted candy melts so it covers about 1/8-1/4 inch of the rim. Sprinkle a bunch of colorful sprinkles over the candy melt and press lightly to make sure they stick well. Place the finished glasses in the fridge or freezer to chill while you prepare the milkshake.

Make your own unicorn drinks at home like this Cute Sparkle Unicorn Milkshake recipe

Pour the magical milkshake into the chilled glasses and top with a generous swirl of whipped cream. Sprinkle a bunch of the sparkliest sprinkles you can find, and voila!! The cutest sparkle unicorn milkshake you ever did see.

Cute Sparkle Unicorn Milkshake
Makes 1 serving

Ingredients:
1 cup vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup milk
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
blue candy melts
colorful sprinkles
whipped cream

Directions:
  1. In blender, combine ice cream, milk, and vanilla. Blend until mixture is smooth.
  2. Pour milkshake mixture into two separate bowls.
  3. In one bowl, add some neon pink food coloring gel, and add neon purple food coloring gel to the other bowl. Mix well to distribute the food coloring.
  4. Place milkshake mixtures in the freezer to thicken up while you prepare the serving glass.
  5. Microwave the blue candy melts in a bowl for one minute, then in 30 second increments until they are completely melted.
  6. Use a spoon and drip the melted candy melt along the inside of the glass. Let it run down.
  7. Dip the rim of the glass in the bowl of candy melts. Immediately pour sprinkles around the entire rim to coat the candy melt. Press sprinkles lightly to make sure they stick well.
  8. Place the glass in the fridge or freezer to cool for 5-10 minutes.
  9. Layer pink ice cream, whipped cream, and purple ice cream until the glass is full.
  10. Top with a swirl of whipped cream and add a bunch of sparkly sprinkles.
  11. Enjoy!
