Girl Scout Bottle Cap Hair Bows
Create Girl Scout Bottle Cap Hair Bows in less than 15 minutes!
Last year was my daughter's first year being a Girl Scout. She loved being a Daisy and has learned and grown so much from the program! She's also been able to make some great new friends and is really looking forward to bridging to Brownies this year! To get her ready for some new adventures, we decided to whip up some cute Girl Scout bows for her to wear to her meetings and activities.

Homemade Chocolate Waffles
Turn your favorite breakfast food into dessert with these Homemade Chocolate Waffles!
We love trying new desserts. LOVE. It's probably my husband's favorite part of me working on this blog is all the new recipes we try that he gets to test and see if it's good enough to share with all of you. This recipe got two over-enthusiastic thumbs up.
Ingredients:
vegetable spray (for waffle iron)
1 1/2 cups flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3 whole eggs, beaten
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
16 ounces buttermilk, room temperature
3/4 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
Recipe from Alton Brown
- Preheat your waffle iron and spray with vegetable spray.
- In a mixing bowl combine sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
- In another bowl, beat together eggs, melted butter, vanilla. Then, add the buttermilk.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips. Allow mix to rest for about 5 minutes.
- Pour mix into the waffle iron and cook until the waffle is crispy and is easily removed from the iron.
- Serve the waffles immediately (best when topped with ice cream and sprinkles). You can also keep the waffles warm in a 200º F oven until ready to serve.
