Classroom Halloween Party

Thanks to Oriental Trading for helping make our Classroom Halloween Party even more awesome!

This year I signed up to help with my daughter's classroom Halloween party. My plan is to have a main table as the central area of our party to hold party favors, treats and a few activities. I am really excited about it, but am also a little nervous since this is my first time doing this! Hopefully we can all learn some new tricks together, right?

After making a long to-do list, I realized that I won't be able to DIY this all by myself. Luckily, companies like Oriental Trading make life a whole lot easier when it comes to throwing a party for a classroom. I found everything I needed for my tablescape including the Boo Bunch Halloween Tablecloth, Halloween Character Pennant Banner and more to help our party be the best in the school while also saving money!

One of THE most important things you need at a party is the food! Along with some healthy snacks, we're also going to have a few treats like cookies and cupcakes. Instead of traditional cake stands and platters, I found this awesome set of Black Cauldrons to display our spooky sweets.

To make this work, I placed a small plastic box in the bottom of a 12" cauldron and then sat my $2 cake plate on top of it. The plate fits over the opening of the cauldron beautifully and I love how the cupcakes look like they are bubbling right out of it!

I also used an 8" cauldron to hold a plate of cookies. I didn't have a smaller, clear cake plate so I used a nice white plate I had instead. I still love how it turned out, but recommend a black or clear plate instead to it blends in better.

Every party needs a treat bag full of goodies, and these Halloween Character Treat Bags are adorably spooky. The purple bat, Frankenstein, and a black cat bags come already assembled and ready to be filled, but have that crafty look to make everyone think you did all the work!

Here's a peek at what's inside the treat bags. Non-candy Halloween favors like Halloween Character Finger Puppets, Mini Pumpkin Stress Toys, and Ghost Prism Stickers are sure to be a hit with the kids and are a great price! I also threw in some healthy Halloween snacks like pretzels, popcorn, juice boxes and applesauce packets decorated as mummies.

For activities during our Halloween party, we will be playing Halloween Bingo and there will be a coloring station for students to color some Halloween Bookmarks (both available as free printables). I found some small crayon boxes for each student to use, but you could also use a large container of colored pencils, crayons or markers for them to share that works just as well!

We are anxiously awaiting for Halloween to arrive so we can get our party on! I hope the students have a great time. I know I'm having a lot of fun getting everything ready to go. 1. This looks so fun! Good thoughts on Oriental Trading. I always wait until the last minute for these things so I never have enough time to order, although I'm sure my parties would be much cheaper if I'd planned enough in advance!

  2. Your daughter's teacher is so fortunate to have you organize this party. I am speaking as a retired teacher of 34 years! She must be so appreciative! Very cute ideas.
