Mother's Day is almost here, and I've got an adorable gift that kids can make for their moms and grandmothers! This is a fun activity for dads to make with the kids, or put these together in classrooms and other group activities.

Like my Free Printable Father's Day Candy Bar Wrapper, this printable is easy to assemble and includes a sweet questionnaire that is sure to bring a smile to mom's face. Plus, it also comes with chocolate - so that's always a win when it comes to gifts!!

Let's get to the tutorial!

First, print out the Mother's Day Candy Bar Wrappers and cut with scissors or a paper cutter. I would recommend printing out the flowered candy bar wrapper on copy paper, and the outer wrapper (with the questionnaire) on cardstock.

Have the kids fill out the questionnaire with their answers about mom, with things like "her favorite food is", "for fun we like to", and of course "I love her because". This is my favorite part of this gift. Their answers are so funny sometimes!!

Use the bone folder and a ruler to score the fold lines at the center of the wrapper. Carefully fold along the lines and use your fingernail or bone folder to press the folds.

With the wrapper now folded, add a piece of clear tape on each side to create a pocket to hold the candy bar. The folded edge at the bottom just gives the candy bar a bit of wiggle room so you don't end up with weird creases in the paper.

Speaking of candy bars, you will need to choose a candy bar that is flat and similar size to Hershey or Crunch bars. Candy bars that are larger or bulkier most likely won't fit inside the outer wrapper, and the flower candy bar wrapper won't be able to wrap around them. There are lots of options out there that will fit though, so there's definitely something out there that your mom will love!

Add a couple of lines of tape runner on the back of the candy bar. Center the flowers on the front of the candy bar and carefully fold each side of the wrapper around to the back and press in place. You could also wrap the candy bar and use clear tape if you don't have a tape runner.

Slide the candy bar into the outer wrapper with the flowers facing out. Now you've got a sweet bouquet of flowers with the cutest personalized message on the back!

By the way, I've also included a questionnaire wrapper that you can fill out and give to Grandma in the printable download!

Jacky Ha-Ha Book Review at artsyfartsymama.com #HaHaBookClub

My daughter and I are huge bookworms. Reading together has been a really special way for us to spend time together and it also gives us the opportunity to enjoy new books. The most recent book we read was Jacky Ha-Ha by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein. The story is told by a mom to her daughters, so naturally we jumped at the chance to read it.

DIY My Little Pony Eye Mask at artsyfartsymama.com

My daughter LOVES all things My Little Pony. Loves. It. This love of MLP also includes the Equestria Girls, which if you haven't heard, are the My Little Pony characters in a parallel world where the ponies are humans.
