Free Printable New Year's Eve Reflection Questions

New Year's Eve is the perfect time to reflect on the past year and celebrate the possibilities of the new year ahead. Traditionally, we set resolutions and goals to work on for the next 365 days (or so), others come up with "one little word" as a type of motto to live by. I've never had much luck with resolutions, so this year I wanted to be able to really stop and take some time to reflect on the things that have happened over this past year.

Free Printable New Year's Eve Reflection Questions

These New Year's Eve Reflection Questions aren't so much questions as they are prompts to get you and your family, friends, and/or party guests talking about this past year and hopes for the new year! It's a fun way to bring back some moments you may have forgotten, and to get to know each other a little better. Kids will also have a fun time hearing funny or interesting stories, and sharing their own!

Free Printable New Year's Eve Reflection Questions

I'm sure we all spent a lot of time sharing memes, jokes, and watching strange and hilarious viral videos along the way. That's why I made sure to throw in a few cards so you can keep sharing the laughs. My daughter has a Shopkins obsession. These little guys are filling up our house fast, and as a parent, I don't mind at all. They are adorable, have creative names, don't take up too much space, and most importantly, my daughter absolutely loves them.

Word of Mouse book review and giveaway! #WordofMouse

When I say that my daughter loves to read, I mean that she really loves to read. At night, we have to take books away or else she will stay up way too late because she just can't put her books down! When she heard about the opportunity to help me review the latest JIMMY Patterson book, she couldn't wait for it to arrive. Jacky Ha-Ha and the Treasure Hunters series are some of our favorite JIMMY Patterson books to read together, so we knew right away that Word of Mouse was sure to be wonderful.

For Halloween, it has become a tradition for our family to "Boo" our friends and family. For the first time ever, we are carrying that tradition into the Christmas holiday by surprising my sister! She and her husband work so hard, so they were the first people I thought of who deserved a bunch more holiday cheer.

Count down to Christmas with the LEGO® Friends!

LEGO Friends Advent Calendar 2016

We love advent calendars! This is the first year we've ever had anything other than the traditional chocolate version. My daughter is a LEGO fanatic, so the 2016 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar was a no brainer. We've been catching up since we started a little late and have been having a blast!

Like any advent, open the LEGO® Friends Advent Calendar each day in December to add a piece to your Friends Christmas party scene. The calendar has 24 secret compartments containing buildable surprises, including Emma and Naomi mini-doll figures! The box also folds out to create a playmat that you can use to display each day’s build.

LEGO Friends Advent Calendar 2016

On the inside of each door is an image with basic instructions on how to build that LEGO surprise for the day. For example, Day 1 was the adorable Emma! Her winter outfit is perfect and match her green eyes beautifully!

LEGO Friends Advent Calendar 2016

Another fun build was this polar bear and ice fishing hole! My daughter thought the bear would look awesome wearing a party hat for the special occasion!

LEGO Friends Advent Calendar 2016

How cute is this LEGO snowman?! Every day has been such a surprise so far, and we are looking forward to everything in this Advent Calendar!

LEGO Friends Advent Calendar 2016

As a special surprise, you can unlock even more building instructions on December 4th, 11th, 18th and 24th to make new creations using the pieces you've already opened. Get the latest Advent Calendar Surprise instructions on the Friends Website.

LEGO Friends Advent Calendar 2016

If you're looking for a fun advent tradition with your LEGO fans, it's not too late for you to grab a LEGO® Friends Advent Calendar of your own. You can find them at most major retailers and on the LEGO website.

DIY Duck Tape Gift Tags

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Duck® Brand. All opinions are 100% mine.
DIY Duck Tape Gift Tags

Making handmade gifts at Christmastime is one of my favorite things. I love creating something unique and thoughtful for each person on my list, and the handmade touch doesn't stop at the gift itself. I also really enjoy making the wrapping special!! This year, I am going to add a DIY Duck Tape® Gift Tag to each and every gift I give this year. Your gifts are sure to stand out and the tags are so easy to make!

DIY Duck Tape Gift Tags

I have really enjoyed creating with Duck Tape® and Duck Glitter® for years. There are so many colors and patterns to play with that you can create pretty much anything you can imagine. Duck Tape® is also an easy crafting medium for kids of all ages that doesn't usually require additional supplies like glue, scissors, or staples to hold your project together.

DIY Duck Tape Gift Tags

Get two pieces of cardstock and lay them down vertically. Cut pieces of Duck Tape® and Duck Glitter® and stick them across the paper horizontally. Don't worry about having extra tape going over the edges.

DIY Duck Tape Gift Tags

Use a paper cutter to trim the tape edges and on both sides of the tape. You should now have 10 strips that measure about 8x2".

DIY Duck Tape Gift Tags

Now turn the strips sideways and mark the center to cut each strip in half. Now you should have a stack of 4x2" gift tags ready to be decorated!

DIY Duck Tape Gift Tags

I used some of the 8x2" strips to create some designs to make the gift tags extra special! Did you know that you can cut Duck Tape® with the Cricut Explore Air 2?! All of these designs can be found in Design Space. Since the tape was backed on cardstock, I was able to cut the designs easily on the chipboard cut settings.

Both the Duck Tape® and the Duck Glitter® cut beautifully every time, even on that intricate "Merry Christmas" design!! Don't worry if you don't have a cutting machine. You can easily cut out your own designs with scissors and punches.

DIY Duck Tape Gift Tags

I put all the designs together and stuck them onto the 4x2" strips with some tape runner. For the "Merry Christmas" design, I sprayed the back with spray glue so that I didn't have any of the edges poking up. Once they were all assembled, I used a hole punch to make a hole for ribbon on each tag.

DIY Duck Tape Gift Tags

With the Duck Tape® being backed with cardstock, you can now flip the tag over to write a sweet message to the gift recipient! The tags are durable as ever and with all the combinations of Duck Tape® and Duck Glitter®, the options are endless for creating a unique gift tag for your friends and loved ones!

Be sure to check out the Duck Tape holiday Pinterest board for more creative holiday ideas!

Fluffy Sugar Cookie Waffles made with International Delight® Sugar Cookie Coffee Creamer #DelightfulMoments

Planning a special breakfast for Christmas morning has become a fun little tradition for our family. Sometimes it's cinnamon rolls, other times it's Easy Breakfast Casserole. This year, I am planning on making some Fluffy Sugar Cookie Waffles with my secret ingredient, International Delight® Sugar Cookie Coffee Creamer!

Fluffy Sugar Cookie Waffles made with International Delight® Sugar Cookie Coffee Creamer #DelightfulMoments

International Delight coffee creamers come in a variety of flavors for the holidays like my personal favorites: Sugar Cookie and Chocolate Hazelnut, as well as Peppermint Mocha, Salted Caramel Mocha, and Pumpkin Pie Spice!

You can find quart sized International Delight creamers in the refrigerated bins or in the dairy refrigerators at your local Walmart!

Adding International Delight creamers to your morning cup of coffee or hot chocolate bring your beverages right into the holidays. But did you know that you can also use creamers as a delicious ingredient in your holiday recipes, too? Just substitute the milk in practically any recipe with your International Delight® favorites!

The waffles are delicious on their own, but they are truly delightful when topped with a Sugar Cookie Glaze. It's the same consistency of syrup, but has the delectable taste of a sugar cookie! Your mouth will thank you and it's a breakfast even the pickiest of kids are sure to love.

By adding creamer, you end up with a fluffier, richer waffle with a light hint of flavor to an otherwise ordinary batter. Plus, the smell in your kitchen while they are cooking is just scrumptious!

Fluffy Sugar Cookie Waffles
Makes 4-6 waffles

Waffle Ingredients:
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 cup milk
¾ cup International Delight® Sugar Cookie Coffee Creamer
½ cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt

Glaze Ingredients:
1 ½ cup powdered sugar
¼+ cup International Delight® Sugar Cookie Coffee Creamer

Directions:
1. Beat eggs until fluffy.
2. Add in all remaining ingredients and stir until smooth.
3. Preheat waffle iron and spray with non-stick spray.
4. Pour mix onto waffle iron and cook until golden brown with a slight crisp.
5. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and coffee creamer until smooth.
*The glaze should be about the consistency of syrup. If you need to thin the glaze, add a tablespoon
of creamer until you get to the right consistency. To thicken, add more powdered sugar.
6. Drizzle glaze over warm waffles. Top with sprinkles and whipped cream for a festive Christmas morning breakfast!
