The 1-2-3 Punch Board design is not only beautiful to look at, but it's extremely user-friendly! I love that the instructions and guides are listed on the board, and everything is color coordinated so you can easily punch and score the paper perfectly. The idea book also contains step-by-step instructions with illustrations to help you along the way. Once you get the hang of how the Punch Board works, you can create anything in a snap!!

I also love the ruler and the guide lines on the Punch Board to make sure you get everything placed correctly. Just line things up as directed, and soon you'll have a creation that look professional! Before I show you how to put a box together, I'm going to show you how easy it is to make a bow that you can put on your treat boxes! You can make a bow ranging from XS-XXL sizes. I made the XS size for my box.

First, cut the three strips for your bow according to the bow directions. The board guides tell you the exact widths and lengths your bow strips need to be, and which guide measurements you need to use when you punch them on the 1-2-3 Punch Board.

Once you punch the two longer pieces as directed, your bow is ready to assemble!

The longest strip will be the bow. Turn the strip wrong side up. Use a glue runner or add a small drop of glue (one that dries fast) on each end. Then fold the ends up over the center (see top image). Next, wrap the smallest piece around the center of the bow and glue in place (bottom image).

Add a bit of glue to the center of the bottom piece, then center the bow piece on top. Now your bow is complete and ready to be placed on boxes, banners, or envelopes!

Boxes have a few more instructions, but are really simple to put together. There are over 20 different size boxes you can make with the help of the 1-2-3 Punch Board with paper sizes up to 12 inches!! I was also relieved to find that no matter what box size you make, you paper just has to be square. No math to do - just figure out what size box you want, and the guide tells you how large your paper needs to be.

I started with a 7 inch square piece of paper, and made a 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 1 3/4 inch box. Line up the paper with the start line listed on the guide. Punch the paper and use the bone folder to make the score lines. Rotate the paper 90º and repeat until all four sides have been punched and scored.

On the top half of the punch, you can also round corners and create corner slits so you can easily close the box. Simply punch all four corners of your paper, and you're almost done!!

Fold the box up and use a glue runner to hold the box corners together. Fill the box with Easter treats, then you can close the box up by interlocking the attachment slits together.

Top the box with a cute bow, and your box is ready to be given away!!

I also made a taller box to see how it would look. I decided on a 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 x 4 inches. I scored and punched the paper the same way as the other box (but using different start lines), and assembled the box. Instead of punching a slit in each corner like the other treat box, I punched a hole using the hole punch in the Banner Punch Board to make it a string tie box.

Fill the box with treats, and weave some coordinating twine or ribbon through the holes and tie the ends together. Now the box is closed up tight, and looks super cute!!

I love how these boxed turned out, and can't wait to make more to give to my nieces and nephews on Easter!
