Using a cake mix is one of my favorite ways to save time in the kitchen. These double chocolate chip cookies are perfectly fudgy, chewy, and chocolatey, and are so quick to throw together thanks to a Devil's Food Cake mix. I make these for family parties, or when we need to take a treat to someone at the last minute, or just when we need a quick chocolate fix here at home.

Ingredients:
1 Devil's Food cake mix
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350º.
  2. Combine cake mix, water, butter, and egg in a large bowl.
  3. Increase mixing speed to medium, and mix for 1 minute. The dough will be thick.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Drop dough onto greased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake 10-12 minutes. Let cookies cool for 1 minute before moving cookies to cooling rack.
The cookies can stored (if you have any left) in an airtight container for 1 week, or frozen if wrapped in foil and placed in a Ziploc bag.
