artsy-fartsy mama: World’s Funnest Dad Giveaway

World’s Funnest Dad Giveaway

I have to say, I'm pretty sure I grew up with one of the funnest (yes, funnest is a word...for now) dads ever. He always came up with awesome things to make from simple supplies that kept us entertained for hours, and would take us on fun adventures while camping or going for rides in his Jeep. He sure has taught me a lot, and I'm so lucky to have a dad that enjoys having "too much fun" with a crazy kid like me!! I'm also lucky to have a husband who loves spending time with our daughter and teaching her all kinds of new games and making fun memories.

I would love to hear your stories about your funnest dad memory, what fun thing your dad has taught you to make, and/or what fun games do your husbands play with your own children.

  3. Great giveaway! Love the "manly" circuit package! :). My dad is amazing - one of those Superhero dads. He is a master craftsman and has built wonderful things for my children like this playhouse http://exploringdomesticity.blogspot.com/2013/05/amazing-playhouse-handmade-kitchen-and.html and he is such a great grandpa. My little boy is obsessed with him - playing with him, listening to him play the guitar, and learning from him.

    Thanks!

  5. My adopted dad (best friend's father), is one of the best people in the world. I go to him when my car is making a weird noises, or if I'm concerned about something that needs to be fixed in my house, not so he'll fix it, but so he'll tell me how. He's a weird font of knowledge, and always willing to share. I had a horrible father, and Mr Bill is the closest thing I've ever had to one. His worth to me is immeasurable.

  6. My "adopted" dad (my best friend's dad) is one of the most amazing people in my life. I go to him for everything, from my car making funky noises, to a shelf being wrong in my home. He doesn't fix it, he tells me how to fix it, and how to find out what needs to be done. He's taught me more in the 15 years I've been friends with his daughter than I can even express. I had a horrible father, and Mr Bill's worth to me is measured in planets, not miles.

  8. Renee Kern, my dad passed away over 18 years ago, before our kids came along. He always lived on the West Coast and I have lived on the East Coast since I was about 3, so we never had much of a relationship. My pap was a father figure for me all of my life, he was a wonderful, funny man, always there for me when I needed him and even when I didn't think I did. My family (especially my son who was very close to him) miss him dearly. My father-in-law, he's a great dad and pappy! He always comes to all the important events for the kids, loves to spend time with his family (we often have them over for supper and games) and has been a great role model for his family!

  11. Thank for the opportunity to win this awesome prize!! My dad has been SO fun growing up and still is at 56 yrs. old. He was a drag racer when my brother and I were young, so we got to experience all the races and traveling with that - he also lives on the lake, where we always go to spend time with him on the boats and jet skies. Love my dad not for these things, but for everything he's done for me!

  16. Can't fit it all in a comment without writing a book... but my Dad is the fix-it-all know-it-all type of Dad. I can ask him anything about anything and he'll have an answer or fix it for me. He's a great Opa to my boys. I wish I were able to see him more often.

  21. My husband is a great daddy to our son. The reason I fell in love with him is because he can make me laugh. My son who is 3 says " Am I silly mommie, like Daddy ?" They get one another's jokes..my husband is teaching our son to look on the sunny side of life. And thats wonderful :P

  22. I fell in love with my husband because he makes me laugh. Now my 3 year old son is interested in being "silly like daddy". My son is learning to look on the sunny side of things from his Dad, and that is a great lesson.
